Wow. way to phrase the correct answer in the most disagreeable way.

Do you really have to be such a jerk all the time?

I'm sorry did you just finish watching The Originals on The CW

See this is what I'm talking about. What do you get out of talking to people like this? Is it something missing from your life that being horrible and dismissive to strangers online fulfils? Please don't be flippant or snarky, I really want to know why you keep going out of our way to make people you've never met unhappy.

Is something missing from your life that you are really oddly invested in wondering why I crack jokes on a fandomsecrets community on fucking Dreamwidth?

What else could you be doing now?

DA

The problem is, more often than not you don't come across as the hilarious deadpan snarker you believe yourself to be, but rather like an insufferable blowhard. It's incredibly hard to pull off gratuitous meanness as humour, and you're certainly failing spectacularly.

Unless it's just bog-standard trolling; if so, congrats.

All you're doing is continuing to prove my assertion, based upon yours, that there must be something seriously lacking in your life.

If you find it very important to tell someone on a dreamwidth community how unfunny you find them, examine your life. Consider living a bit more.

(Anonymous) 2014-01-04 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
I'm a different anon, as indicated by the DA in the previous post.

Anyway, what kind of silly non sequitur is this?
A comment is a comment, takes approx. 2 minutes, whether it's regarding a secret or a comment by a fellow commenter. You can't deny you're a bit tone deaf with your soi dissant snarking when so many people constantly miss the point, and find you unpleasant rather than funny.

No skin off my nose, though. Rock on.

The difference is that I crack jokes in an attempt to make people laugh, whereas you're doing something you apparently find unpleasant. Repeatedly.

But whatever. Sorry I missed the DA.

AYRT

I don't, though. I like, sometimes love, reading f!s and discussing fandom stuff in a pan-fandom community. I even enjoy many of your comments; when you're on, you're spot on.

I meant it honestly when I said 'rock on!' -- just don't be surprised when people get pissed off, is all.
