To be fair, I'm not sure if Ron hate is still a thing in the fandom - it was several years ago, but fandom's dialed down now... or is it still a thing? I hope not, I never understood that. :(

No it's not. It was a thing over ten years ago, but it hasn't been a thing in a long while. And even back then, it was mainly a thing with Harry/Hermione shippers. Granted, they were very vocal...

Yeah. I know it was a thing with very... tenacious Harmony shippers, but not with fandom at large.

ron-loving op here to say (to all above) that my perception of fandom in general was probably warped by the batshit harmonians shrieking so loud

i'm so happy to be wrong
