Most of the time, I couldn't give a fuck about how diverse a cast is.* I only care about how good the actors are. I think it's insulting when fans focus on the race of the cast over how good the acting is. I would be insulted considering how much work I probably had put into the craft of acting only to be reduced to my race and nothing more.



*(Unless the program is set in a play like NYC or LA and the story is built around a job that should be diverse like a cop precinct or a hospital but the cast is either all or almost white or all/almost black. That's when my brain kicks in and goes, "No, I can't buy this.")

I don't care how diverse the cast is because I've never been able to separate media into pieces like that. Whether I like it or not, I can't say for certain if it would be better with xyz change to the cast or not. It just seems like a pointless debate to me when the shows/books/what-have-you are already out in the public eye. :/
