I guess that just underscores Hitchcock's genius. It's a horror film, he wants you to feel uncomfortable. I find it too disturbing and scary to watch, I can watch his others again no problem, but not Psycho. And it definitely effected bathrooms for me, especially in hotels, hate to see an opaque shower curtain, I have to pull it aside!
