American Gods is my favourite Neil Gaiman book.

Me too... kind of, I guess. It's my favorite book assuming that you count Sandman as a graphic novel and not a book - not sure what you were going for.

But still! It's really good and I like it a lot. Is that really an unpopular opinion?

I've seen some discussions get inflammed over it, so I got the gist that it shouldn't be my favourite because it wasn't worthy of awards or something? I'm not in the fringes of the fandom letalone involved so I'm not entirely sure.

Ah Sandman, I've enjoyed the ones I read! But I'd need to read the whole thing to be sure. Saw the whole boxset for sale $60 once and didn't buy it. Major regret.

I haven't read American Gods since it first came out (and I no longer have my copy), but I remember really liking it at the time.
