I really liked the flu arc tbh. Everything sucks everywhere, survivors! You get nothing.

I liked it too. The problem with post-apocalyptic worlds is that EVERYTHING is a struggle. Even if you dodge the zombies, you've still got to worry about food, shelter, disease.

Pretty much this. It can't be all zombie fighting all the time, there's plenty of other hardships to face and not exploring them would be a waste.
