faces and favorite themes

In my Chuck rewatch, I've gotten to the episode where Chuck is at the psychiatric facility and Sarah goes to the doctor on Chuck's behalf. The doc says she's not alone and Casey steps out from behind the door.

Not only was this confirmation that while I may disagree with his personal politics, Adam Baldwin makes the most wonderfully heartbreaking faces that I will love forever, but it also reaffirmed my love of stories that aren't really hurt comfort, and aren't really about a character in trouble but are about the people who worry about a character in trouble. I'm not sure what to call that.

So how about y'all. Do you have any actors (or writers, directors, etc.) for whom there apparently are no dealbreakers when it comes to ability to enjoy their work? Any nonstandard themes you love?

I will read anything by William Gibson, no matter how boring it might be.
