I think it's gotten a little better over the years, there's a lot of art on tumblr DEPENDING ON YOUR FANDOM, and there are enough people around here that I can talk to about my ships, but yeaaah.

That is true. Thankfully my F/F otp's have pretty decent artists and fic authors on board.

Same here, but the thing with me is that I can never have enough.

That's true of any ship really. (except Johnlock, Destiel and Sterek, fuck those ships)

It has improved a bit over the years and I'm glad about that! There's more of it, and it's easier to find because tagging systems have improved vastly.

I have more femslash ships than anything else TBH and I'm glad that I don't have to dig as hard to find it anymore.

I think I've gotten even more into it over the years? I ship het and m/m too but I think I give the impression that I only ship femslash because...idk, I'm compensating for the comparative lack of it.

Can you recommend any fandoms with a lot of femslash?

okay i'm a little drunk rn so I can't remember a lot of stuff but

-Homestuck has canon ships, and TONS of art
-Gunnerkrigg Court has not that many fanworks but canon f/f, and is an excellent story besides
-Parasol Protectorate has like no fanworks but lots of gay characters, some of whom are f/f
-Hunger Games I don't think has much? I haven't really looked too hard. But I personally have ships for it.
-Analogue: A Hate Story and the sequel Hate Plus has TONS OF CANON and I recommend it if you can handle really dark shit, but I haven't seen any fanworks
-Long Live the Queen has some canon stuff
AtLA and Legend of Korra have a decent amount of fanworks
-Harry Potter has so much fic that there is a lot of femslash fanworks even though percentage wise it's probably still the smallest.
-CERTAIN DC CANON stuff like, the Harley and Ivy comic, Gotham Girls (both the comic and the [kind of bad flash] cartoon...seriously, look up "Gotham Girls webisodes" on youtube, so gay) I just recently got into this, so I don't know much
-Kim Possible though I don't think the fandom is that active anymore
-Sailor Moon
-Pretty Little Liars has canon but unfortunately I'm not that into the show
-Skins also has canon but I don't think the fandom is that active and I'm not really into it, plus the canon ship isn't the thing that I ship
-Glee has canon, but it's Glee
-Adventure Time!! has extremely obvious subtext for Princess Bubblegum/Marceline, and the character designer for the show has drawn them together so it's not really canon but y'know, it's "canon"
-Dangan Ronpa (the first one) has a shitload of subtext for this one pairing but it doesn't end happily

um that's all I remember right now, when I am more sober I can link you to some yuri mangas if you're into that

There's also Touhou, Madoka, Utena, etc.

And K-on. Can't believe I forgot that.

And i forgot Nanoha. Damn it. Orz

Well, Touhou is a series of games with a ton of female characters. Which means there's a ton of yuti fanart/doujinshi for it. Madoka is a magical girl anime with tons of dubtext and outright text. It also has quite a bit of fanart and doujinshi. Also has a decent amount of fic. Utena is Utena. And K-on is anime about girls in a light club. Nanoha is another magical girl seties with a ton of art/doujins and a decent amount of fic.

Oh wow, thanks! I know a lot of these but not all of them. I've been meaning to look into Gunnerkrigg Court and Adventure Time (I already like the art I've seen of Princess Bubblegum and Marceline).

Once Upon a Time has Swan Queen (Regina/Emma, which is one of the fandom juggernauts), Sleeping Warrior (Mulan/Aurora, yes the Disney princesses and also my ship of choice, seriously they're so cute) and then some other smaller ships like Red Beauty (Little Red Riding Hood/Belle of Beauty and the Beast.)

I'm personally not a big fan of SwanQueen because a vocal minority of its shippers claim that anyone who doesn't ship it is a massive homophobe and clearly can't have other reasons for not shipping it, like the attempted murder of one half of the ship when she was a couple hours old by the other half of said ship. And I'm a Belle/Rumpelstiltskin (he's the Beast) shipper, so I don't ship Red Beauty although some of the fanart is cute. OUAT is fun in that lots of the ships pretty much sound like (and are, honestly) canon crack.

I discovered recently that I've had femslash ships in just about everything I've ever fanned over, but because I was never deeply involved in fandom/shipping until recently, I didn't really think about it.

Now I am, and I'm delighted by the wealth of lovely fanworks I haven't read/seen yet. :D
