It's probably got more to do with the fact that movies where women receive oral sex get higher ratings than movies were guys receive oral sex. Or even movies with graphic rape scenes.

ratings as in age restrictions? you mean in your country, right? because that's sure as hell not the case in my country. and I don't really understand how that makes it any more or less praiseworthy. I go in for a lot of mature stuff, but I wouldn't go "ooh that series has so much more dismemberment than just people being shot! praise, praise!" (even though I find it pretty bigoted of media to crack down on realistic violence while allowing lots of trivialized depictions of it.)
