I really dislike any MCU Thorki fics where Thor is the more toppy/assertive/aggressive partner. I can't help but find it wildly out of character based on how he acts around Loki in the movies.

But I don't get it either, especially when paired with Loki. *shrugs*

Yeah, it seems like they want it more for the visual, or for that specific incest trope (big older brother with *insert some trait of Thor's here* dominating small younger brother with *insert some trait of Loki's here*) than the actual character dynamics of the actual characters.

Which is totally fine, btw, but it makes me wonder why they bother.

Not into the pairing, but I see Loki as aggressively topping from the bottom. Like, he treats Thor like a powerful, muscular thoroughbred who's at his best when he's ridden into the goddamn sunset by a demanding taskmaster.

Me, too! Every male character I've ever headcanoned as a bottom has been a dominant personality in everything else. So when I run into tons of fanart and fanfic where the poor bastard is like "be gentle with me senpai uwuuu" I just eaaargh.

I dunno. I saw a pretty convincing essay - complete with gif sets of the relevant scenes! - arguing for Thor as the top and Loki as a cheerful (if bratty) sub. The throat-grabbing scene in the helicopter featured pretty heavily in the gifs.

I don't have a preference but bottom Thor is much more difficult to find. It'd be nice if there was more of it.
