I think they're bad films. I don't care. Only in it for the costumes and creature designs. And I hadn't seen a single Star Wars film until late in high school when I saw the original trilogy (in French class, and I was by no means fluent, so then I went out and rented them so I could watch them in English and get what was going on.) Even though I liked them I never developed that sense of fan-ownership that makes people freak out and go "they're ruined forever!!!" So the prequels didn't bother me and I could covet Padme's dresses all I wanted.
