Having big tits wasn't the only thing, though. Anyone who spends much time in the jungle or other harsh environments quickly finds out that skimpy clothing is not your friend. Even when it's hot and humid, because hot and humid environments often come with biting insects that carry nasty diseases. A crop top and short shorts is a terrible choice. If you're going to be raiding ancient tombs, you want a sturdy pair of pants in breathable fabrics that will tuck into your shoes so you don't get leeches.

Speaking as a woman with not-that-large-but-large-enough tits, I'd also add that going bra-less is also not practical when you plan to engage in demanding physical activity. I can't even imagine how sore I'd be after a day of that. Lara Croft might be a fucking boss and a smart woman, but she wasn't dressed like one originally, and I think we can all figure out why that was.

Yes, I know that. I'm one of those people whose eyes cross at Power Girl's ever-resurrecting boob window, so I understand how annoying impractical clothes on a female character can be, but what gets to me is when people act like clothes are so much more important than a character's behavior and treatment. Basically, classic Lara Croft's sexualization was incredibly minimal, she was a great title character in every other way who held her franchise (and paved the way for other female characters to hold their franchises) on the strength of a lot more than bralessness, but some people act like all that was meaningless. It's frustrating.

Countless jungle girls have fought dinosaurs in less.

Read Shanna the She Devil (Illustrated by Cho, so you KNOW it's going to be skimpy and full of incredibly muscular butts.)
