You get it. That is exactly what I was trying to say.

And then there is the most recent game, which I admit I would have loved if it wasn't a frigging tomb raider game.

One does not play tomb raider in order to "protect" Lara (as one of the higher ups on the development team had said) you do not need to see lara croft as a menaced frightened little girl who needs your help to survive. That concept, that game, would have been a perfectly adequate idea for any game that was NOT A FUCKING TOMB RAIDER GAME.

And yet because she has more realistic boobs and is wearing pants this game is LESS sexist than the other versions?!?!

Yeah, I mean, I appreciate that it's an origin story for Lara before she gets badass, and therefore she has to be realistically untried, but when male characters are untried and scared, they're rarely if ever turned into crying traumatized messes for half the game whining about how they "hate tombs" (hardy-har-har). I just don't see how that was necessary to Lara's new backstory, and I'd have preferred boobs and shorts over that any day.

There's a looooot of things that need to fixed about women in video games, but damn it, Lara Croft wasn't one of them, and I resent her always being singled out as the worst when she was best.
