God, I feel this so much.

I've had someone drop the "I'm suicidal" bomb on my while I was in the middle of a full on panic attack and I've been told I'm a selfish, selfish bitch for you know...Saying "I can't deal with this right now". Instead of...idk, magically snapping myself out of a panic attack or something.

There are people who are callous about someone being suicidal...but saying "I can't right this second" [or taking a little time away from it] to take some time for their own mental health isn't being that.

...But, of course, that's not how most people seem to see it.

Holy crap, this. There's a huge difference between someone who has anxiety issues who doesn't know how to help at the time but really does care and wants to help when they're in a mental state to do so. And a narcissistic asshole who really doesn't care or would even make fun of someone who is suicidal.
