I love all of Peter Jackson's adaptations of LOTR and The Hobbit, and I really wish he would direct other movies involving stuff that was written in The Silmarillion, such as the battles that happened in the First Age and ending it with the defeat of Melkor, or the Second Age and Sauron's rise to power along with his downfall, or even some weird sci-fi/fantasy crossover far into the future that tells of Dagor Dagorath and the final defeat of Melkor. I just want to see these all on the big screen.

I guess the later part might be considered unpopular. But honestly, I would give PJ my money to see these adaptations. I can't get enough of them.

Yeah, I want to see the Silmarillion adapted, either for the big screen or small screen. I don't care how hard it would be, or how much Christopher Tolkien hates it. You can't deprive us of this potential epicness.

I know right? I love the original work source, but I'll be damned if I wouldn't give just about anything to see all of these potential story arcs in CGI.

Silmarillion isn't my favorite but I would LOVE for it to adapted into films. The more Middle Earth the better, and there are some great stories that would look astounding on the big screen.

I would love a Silmarillion movie, because I really want the plot, but I had trouble with Tolkien's prose the last tie I tried to read it.

I've been wanting a Silmarillion adaptation ever since the LoTR movies, gimmie Valar on the big screen! *grabby hands*

Yes! It could be a soap opera. It could be a collection of mini series. All kinds of things are possible!
