I love Melinda Warner so much. She was just so awesome and since she's not on the show anymore, I don't watch it. Well, that's one of the reasons. Her and Huang were my favorites.

I actually haven't watched much SVU lately but watching them in the past was a big motivator to pursue the degree I'm getting. I already knew I wanted to be a therapist. Because of him, there's a very good chance I might go further and work with the police department.

She did actually make an appearance in the last episode before the mid-season break, just long enough to get in one of the best one-liners in that show's recent history ("He came, and then he went" in regards to a guy who died shortly after having sex). I really missed her snark.

Slightly off-topic, but I've always been surprised at how much she reminds me of one of my coworkers. You can tell that she cares deeply but not closely, and her sense of humor isn't just the over-the-top sense of dark humor seen in many TV coroner's, it's subtle and off-beat. I've only ever worked at two coroner's offices in my life, but from what I've seen, she's a pretty good representation. Really, the only one I've seen better was the coroner from Cold Case, but she appeared so little that it could've just been my imagination filling in the blanks.

Warner is such an underrated character. (Also, seeing SVU secrets that I didn't submit always makes me incredibly happy for some reason, so thanks Anon!)
