Let's be clear about something: it won't happen because the game developers don't want to do it. Do not try to cloak your misogyny or any one else's in bullshit about how there isn't a market. Because bullshit is exactly what it is. You can make up as many percentages as you like and it will not change the fact that there are literally millions of female gamers around the world and that many of us play violent games. Some of us don't even have a Facebook account.

Some companies hate their own franchises more than they love money. Look at what Disney did to the whole Tron franchise.

they do both

but what they hate most is changing the status quo. to market a game to women they'd have to actually put forth effort and think creatively, and they'd much prefer to write-off women as a quirky subgroup instead of a significant audience, and continue to do what they've done over and over again. most of all I think they're lazy.
