Re: F!S, what music gets you moving?
Other than that, I have a couple of playlists. When I worked retail 3rd shift and my duties included cleaning the entire gas station, I used to listen to either the "adrenaline" playlist, that had a bunch of fast-paced rock (think the Foo Fighters' "Everlong" for example), or the "my other car is an airship" playlist, which was a lot of video game airship themes, boss battle themes, and general actiony-scene type stuff.
If I was really in a crap mood, I'd break out the "happytime" playlist, which involved only songs that I find essentially impossible to listen to with a straight face. Meme songs like "Yatta" and "Dragostea Din Tea", goofy stuff like Leonard Nimoy's "Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" and They Might Be Giants' "Au Contraire", and stuff I have happy fannish association with, like Electric Six's "Gay Bar" and Andrew WK's "Party Hard". That would get me mopping the crust of rock salt off those tile floors with a smile.
