Nate is Mal, Eliot is Zoe, Sophie is Inara, Parker is River, and Hardison is kind of a Simon/Wash hybrid

Jayne is a thug, tho. Zoe is a badass who usually acts as the 'muscle' but she's also wise and level-headed.

Eliot is an ARTIST, and his preferred media are violence and foodstuffs.

Eh, more similarities between Eliot and Jane as far as roles go tome, tbh. Zoe's main role is being second in command - which is far closer to what Hardison does than Eliot [though, I'd agree Hardison is more Wash personality wise.]
