Radfem anon and friends are being Radfem anon and friends in secret 3 instead of taking it to general comments. Any way to either freeze (or better, because I'm not trying to stop it) move it there? I feel kind of bad for the secret maker. I don't want things turning into a shitstorm just because I commented on something.

No, I don't think I will. However badly I take her comments when I'm anon, I can only imagine it being far far worse if I actually give her my fucking username. there's a reason I post anon everywhere I go.

I did once try talking to her seriously. not PM, because I really do need the safety of anonymity when confronting... you know, people. but I tried to engage her as a person. No luck she really didn't seem to care. so I though if she could see that there are a lot of people who are hurt by her she might think "Holy shit I need to stop being so fucking horrible, what I say to people online actually matters to some people".

Can I ask specifically why my thread was frozen? I did take pains to keep it respectful, I admit it could have went badly down the line, but at the point you froze it, it was pretty harmless.

Also, I misfired this into the thread for secret 1, would you be a pal and remove it for me? Danke.

You are still anonymous if you make a disposable sock account. It's so easy to make an account and never use but for one purpose.

Hm. I suppose so. I do realise this is my problem, but I don't think I'd be comfortable doing that. Just seems... Well dishonest for a start, but also still to... unanonymous. but yeah. that's my problem I get it.

How is it dishonest to create a disposable account in order to remain anonymous? It's a better and more mature option to hash out your issues than creating a free-for-all hate thread.

I see. I'm very very sorry if it came across that way. That really was the very furthest thing from my intentions when I tried to do that.

1) That's why I said make a sock journal. No usernames required.

2) Again, engaging someone as one of 50 anons in a post is not the same as using a sock journal that someone can reply to and know is always you. It also offers a lot more sincerity to the person you're talking to, if you talk to them as 'fsangryanon' about what you're saying than someone who stays one-of-50-anons. At least you are accountable as that name, for what you say with that name!

3) Any sort of "I have personal problems with this poster and want to get a mob going on them" is not allowed, even if everyone promises to politely call them a dick. Singling out one user and calling on others to condemn them is pretty close to cyberbullying, there.

I see. fair enough. I really wasn't trying to be a bully. I really have for the most part enjoyed my time on this community. You're doing a great job.

I've been doing this literally 7 years, trust me when I say a horde of angry anons is the least likely to get anybody to change or think about anything - no matter WHAT it is. People see a mob and get automatically defensive and even less willing to engage :(

Three things.

1. Have you ever seen me follow someone around? Shit up threads they didn't even start because they happened to post in them? Harass them? Or do you just assume I'm going to do that? I say dumb things about radfemanon but I don't actually have any idea who they are because they're anon.

2. I suspect you don't want to message me because then I might actually be nice to you, and that'd clash with this weird narrative you've built up around me. You say you tried talking to me seriously once and I was mean, but you won't say when this was or what it was over. I'm honestly sorry if I hurt you. I don't like doing that.

3. I can be nice to you without agreeing with you. Frankly I suspect this is so you can make some unreasonable demand of me, have me say no, and then tell your friends I was awful. But I'd still respond.

Please stop bothering Case. Case is awesome and doesn't deserve this. Don't argue with frozen threads. This community is Case's baby, not yours or mine or anyone else's.

You aren't confronting a goddamn thing. You are hoping to be passive aggressive, and get somebody with an actual spine to dogpile FOR YOU.

And it's pretty obvious, that's what it was. Where could it go but people telling you to shut up, or flaming your target? It could only go badly because there was nothing good about it.

You are a whiner. Even people who agree with you can only stomach so much of that.

Starting a dogpile here is doing the exact same thing.
