I think a lot of people are missing that Doug =/= Nostalgia Critic. The Nostalgia Critic is very much it's own character at this point.

Not really? NC is just Doug's soapbox/dying cash cow. He didn't do piss poor research just because the ~NC~ would, ya know. It's because he's lazy and is milking the only thing he has.

Dude, he just wants to make people laugh as they watch his videos. He's not trying to convert people into believing everything he believes in. I don't think he wants people to take his NC stuff as seriously as some people seem to.

Ehh...Doug's been known to express some very similar opinions on his fb so it's not too far a stretch to think he might very well believe these.

I agree. Even though NC is a character, most of the TGWTG reviewers walk a very, very thin line between character and true personality.

He only went back to the NC because Demo Reel bombed epically. Quite a few of the TGWTG reviewers mentioned that he had to since the site was dying and they were losing a lot of money. N-Chick/JesuOtaku being the most vocal about it.

Have you also watched his NC editorials lately? That's all Doug, that's not the character. I would have felt bad about him having to go back to a character he didn't honestly want to play again personally, if I had no watched him being a huge douche to his ex-boss/coworkers on youtube.
