Unless you're talking about people who automatically dismiss all white dudes as bland and generic.

There's a lot of this, though. I've seen exactly this kind of thoughtless criticism thrown at characters and media that were anything but bland and generic, leading me to conclude that either the person complaining didn't look at anything past the cast photo, or just completely refuses to perceive any actual traits in white male characters.

Very true. That's what I'm seeing.

Some white guys are similar and there some actors that I can't easily tell apart, but white guy actors as a lot are as varied to me as any other group.
