I stopped on of my teamates (in State of Decay) from committing suicide after he had some kind of yelling break down.

...Well I was pleased!

Also new bed sheets! On a great sale!

I'm one of only two people I've ever met who've beaten the entire campaign of World at War on Veteran mode. That shit is Old Nintendo Hard.

Just hit 200 hours in Pokemon! I have three level 100 Pokemon now and the other three are pretty close - just need a bit more training. And I only some hundred Pokemon to complete my dex. Yay!

Thank you for bragging about this. I just hit 150 hours in Pokemon X and I was starting to worry I needed to get a life or something. XD I feel better now (not because you are "worse" just that you're clearly having fun with it and that makes me less insecure lol)

I'm 300 hours and have a life, do you feel better anon?

No worries, anon! I mostly just play on weekends and the bus trips to and from classes. This is the most time I've logged in for any game, but damn, Pokemon XY is just the game that keeps on giving, I'm not even almost done with the things I mean to do on it.

ayrt

Me, too. lol There's still so much I want to do... I've become addicted to breeding awesome Pokemon, getting up my style points, and doing random side quest stuff. ...and I haven't even gotten the legendaries yet. I beat the Elite Four, then wanted to make a new, "perfect" team via breeding and trading, and have been so distracted that I haven't even moved on to the important post-game stuff. haha

I took down the arishok by myself too! ...With an archer, even. It was fucking hell.

I killed Krosis (one of the Dragon Priest's in Skyrim) at around level 17. It took...an extremely long time. And lots and lots of arrows. Also, fleeing. Lots of fleeing. Lydia was tortured so much during that battle, and it probably lasted a good 30 minutes. (The time I actually succeeded, mind you. Died plenty of times before that.)

Arishock is tough, especially as a mage. lol Most of that battle for me was running around in circles hoping he'd get tired, and quickly doing a spell whenever he'd stop for a second.

On Dragon Age: Origins, I took down Flemeth on Hard Mode in only a few minutes, on the first try, without a mage. Considering that the last time it took me a bunch of tries despite being on Easy with a healing mage, I was so happy with how much I had improved.

That is awesome!

Aaand I have a C (and a half*) average, and that is seen as pretty impressive where I come from, so it freaks me out when I hear about people with straight A's, my last exam 1 person got an A 3 got B, 14, C and the rest got lower grades...

*exactly in the middle of C and B, or slightly closer to B, but I have a damn D I will fix next semester or something.

Yikes, sounds like that was just a tough exam. o.O

Yeah, a lot of my friends are very impressed by my grades. My family's reaction to my grades boiled down to "about damn time". I mostly just consider it a sign that I'm getting better at gaming the system, rather than learning anything.

It wasn't, and for the subject in my old University it has a 50% fail rate, we do a slightly different exam type in my current university so less of us fail..

Those grades are pretty average for how it is graded in Norway. A's are only given out to people who know more than the required reading and can make leaps of judgement beyond what we should be capable of (all of it without having a single mistake, and being well written). B's are probably what is closer to most school systems A's, B's are given to those who know the subject, can make sound judgements based on the fact and again not make any mistakes. C's are the grade that shows that you know what you are doing, can do independent thinking and so on. D's are you know a bit more than the bare minimum and E's are pretty much: You can answer these questions correctly, but you are not great at thinking for yourself or make independent judgements. And F is for Fail. (we also only get one grade each subject, which is from one written exam, and sometimes we might have an oral exam in addition to the written one)

I keep giving lectures about this, sorry about that.

It is awesome that you have straight A's! I couldn't put the time required to get any A's, least of all straight A's! To my family and lecturers (when they realise I don't get A's) big disappointment. I am just lazy, also I am pretty sure I am not capable of getting A's, I could probably get straight B's if I applied myself slightly harder, but 50ish% Bs aren't bad?

Getting A's are not just about working the system, you have to know what you are doing! And you clearly do know what you are doing as you got straight A's, which is awesome!

Got my Philosophy exam grade back, and my grade average is still above what it needs to be to get into the Masters Degree program once I finish my Bachelors.

I figured out I was still in love with my ex and worked up the courage to tell him on New Year's Eve. We're now in a kind of open relationship/RA thing, which is what we both wanted. It all turned out better than I had dared hope. =)

And I've learned how to make vegan cookies (with coconut butter)!
