Re: How was your day?
And is candied ginger sweet?
Re: How was your day?
Weird thing is, I love watching the Pistons play, love all my team's players... and cannot find myself interested at all in basketball games when it's not my team. Unless the team that's playing has someone who used to be on my team, then I'll be rooting for them. But other than "my boys", just doesn't hold my interest. Same sort of thing with baseball - I've gotten to the point where I will get excited about the Tigers and the Red Sox (for my girlfriend's sake), but I don't give a crap about any other games that might be going on.
Candied ginger is spicy AND sweet - basically you boil it in sugar and water for an hour or so, then drain it and once it's fairly dry, toss it in more sugar to coat it. I think I dried it a little too much in the oven, because I just did that last part and the sugar's not sticking so well, so it'll be less sweet than store-bought. Also probably spicier because I used fresh ginger root. This is good, because I like spicy (see the mention of peanut butter and sriracha).
