I did transcribed out all the secrets (gaining a new appreciation for the amount of work transcriptanon puts in every day!), and then got here and somebody else had already done it. But fuck it, I'm posting 'em anyway!

Secret 1

(Anonymous) 2014-01-09 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
Image has a white silhouette of a human head with a question mark where the face would go, such as are often used on websites when a user does not upload an avatar image, in each of the four corners. Secret reads:

It's started to annoy men when I hear people complain about fans shipping "bland, generic white dudes."

I agree that canon creators should give us more female characters and characters of other races, and that fans should pay more attention to the ones we have, and if someone wants to get mad about that not happening, I'm 100% in their corner and will get mad with them. But a character isn't "bland" or "generic" just because he's played by a white guy. There's no need to put down one set of characters just to prop up other ones that are overlooked.

tl;dr - Character bashing is shitty even when it's done in the name of diversity.

TYPO, SORRY

The first sentence of the secret text actually reads,

It's started to annoy me when I hear people complain about fans shipping "bland, generic white dudes."

Secret 2

(Anonymous) 2014-01-09 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
Image is of the character Izumo Kamiki from Ao no Exorcist. She is a young female character with dark hair that appears mostly short except for two long pigtails. In the image, she is wearing a collared shirt and tie, and cherry blossom petals appear to be swirling around her. Secret reads:

i could care less about this character and the fact that the recent chapters have been ALL about her are the worst.

Secret 3

(Anonymous) 2014-01-09 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
Image shows the main cast of the television show, Leverage: Eliot Spencer (white male with long dark hair), Sophie Devereaux (white female with long dark hair), Nathan Ford (white male with short dark hair, slightly older than the other characters), Alec Hardison (black male with short dark hair), and Parker (white female with long blond hair). In the show, these characters are a team of criminals that use their skills to help ordinary people who have been wronged by corporations or governments. Secret reads:

Where I work, security is a huge concern.

This show did more to make me fight complacency than any of the hours upon hours of training that my employer has put on.

Thank you! And the other anon who transcribed, thank you too. Hooe you see this. Your efforts are much appreciated.

You're welcome! =D

Secret 4

(Anonymous) 2014-01-09 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Secret contains two images, Irene Adler from the BBC series Sherlock, and River Song from the BBC series Doctor Who. Irene Adler is a pale woman with dark hair bound up in a severe style, wearing a white top and holding a cell phone. River Song is an olive-skinned woman with curly blond hair wearing a white blouse, a denim jacket, jeans, a holstered gun, and a smile. Secret reads:

I first started watching Sherlock. I wasn't very satsified with how she was written, but I thought the episode was decent.

Then I finally got along to watching some episodes of Doctor Who with River Song in them.

(Over the image of Irene Adler)
-'gay' but spends entire episode pining/being obsessed with a man
-Super-eroticized dominatrix character
-She's his rival, but he still is better than her
-Love interest
-"HEY GUYS, DID YOU FORGET SHE HAS BOOBS? HERE THEY ARE AGAIN"

(Over the image of River Song)
-"She's bisexual" says Moffat, even though there is no actual proof of it in the show
-"Look at her with her double entendres and sexual quips!"
-Love interest
-"HEY GUYS, DID YOU FORGET SHE HAS BOOBS? HERE THEY ARE AGAIN!"

(In red) They are the same fucking character and I can't believe people are still letting Moffat write this bullshit

Secret 5

(Anonymous) 2014-01-09 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Image is from the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode, Symbiosis, from season one. In the image, a still-beardless Commander Riker is being held hostage and menaced by a blond-haired alien man with a glowing hand. Riker's expression is wide-eyed and open-mouthed, as though he were being electrocuted. Secret reads:

I try to make this face any time my BF grabs one of my boobs too hard because I think it'll be an effective teaching method for foreplay.

Secret 6

(Anonymous) 2014-01-09 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
Image is of Queen Elsa from Frozen, conjuring snowflakes. She is a pale young woman with elaborately-pinned white-blond hair, wearing a dress with a gold-trimmed, dark green bodice and skirt, darker wrist-length sleeves, and a purple cloak with a high collar. Secret reads:

This was a great scene, I agree. The sense of power and exhilaration is really tangible and the fact she's trying to convince herself this is for the best is heartbreaking.

But I honestly thought this was musically the least memorable song in the whole movie.

Secret because apparently this song is the #1 reason to see the movie or something.

Secret 7 - TW for depression/suicidal thoughts

(Anonymous) 2014-01-09 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Image is from The Big Bang Theory, of the character Stuart Bloom, who owns the comic book shop that appears on the show. He is a pale man with short, messy dark hair, wearing a plaid shirt over a blue t-shirt with stars on it. Secret reads:

I used to like this show

But the fact that a majority of the jokes involving this character are essentially "He has clinical depression and suicidal thoughts *laughtrack*"

IS REALLY PISSING ME OFF

(In red) WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THE PEOPLE WRITING THIS SHOW?

Secret 8

(Anonymous) 2014-01-09 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Image is a photo of actress Amy Poehler with her two young boys, her sons. They are all fairly pale and blond. They are holding hands and crossing a street, dressed for moderately cold weather. Secret reads:

I'm so sad she doesn't have any daughters

I feel like she would be such a great mom to a little girl

Secret 9

(Anonymous) 2014-01-09 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Image shows Ambassador G'Kar from Babylon 5, an alien with red eyes and a bald, spotted head made up of significant facial prostheses. Inset into the top left corner is an image of Major Kira Nerys from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, a Bajoran woman with light olive skin and reddish brown hair that looks much darker in this particular screencap. She wears an elaborate earring, characteristic of the Bajoran religion, in her right ear, and has a small series of ridges across the bridge of her nose. Secret reads:

I think they would have a lot of things to discuss if they met.
