Are you one of those people who makes absolute factual statements when you're attempting to express personal opinions? "I am bored by these characters" =/= "These characters are bland and generic"

Unless someone is in a position to erase said characters from the face of the earth, then what does it matter how the opinion is stated? Seriously, you can't actually hurt or destroy characters by not liking them or stating that they are bland and generic.
