I didn't think they were appallingly bad movies or anything, they were just so...bleh. Such mundane treatment of what could have been an epic topic. (And when they actually crammed in a whole huge battle sequence and then 'it was only a dream'd it, I laughed my ass off omg)

...I don't see why you'd LOVE them, but there are certainly worse movies out there.

(And the rifftrax are hilarious)

Yeah, I think a decade or two from now, when people watch these films again I take it people will wonder why this series was so loved and hated. I think most people will find it kind of boring on the most part.

It's smut AU fanfic, Fifty Shades of Grey.

I found them easier to hate-watch with alcohol. Try that.

I watched them all and I like them in that over the top bad way. They're fun silly movies that even made fun of the franchise by the end. The Jacob/Renesmee will never not be a huge no tho.

I don't much care for the plot, but I enjoyed watching the movies I did (saw 3/5 of them). I feel you OP.

Carlisle had more chemistry and depth with Bella in that one scene they had together than Bella and Edward/Jacob had during all of the movies combined. And I'm not using hyperbole, I almost started shipping them, too. If I was masochistic enough to brave Twilight fanfiction, I'd be all up in that pairing.

You and I need to get together for coffee. I dislike the movies and read just enough of the first book to feel justified in tossing it into my discarded heap, but Carlisle and Bella? Thanks to that bandaging-up scene in the second movie, I have always wanted to write the dirtiest, filthiest smut about those two - mostly along the lines of while Edward is mightily resisting Bella's charms, and being all tortured over it, Carlisle is unapologetically and empathically tapping that ass as much as inhumanly possible, and then escaping through an open window just as Edward comes in to watch his virginal beloved sleep.

I think a part of it might be because I not only want to offend the pure Edward/Bella shippers but also Stephenie Myers - or however she spells her stupid name.

Carlisle is my favourite character in that series to be honest.

I had a phase when I read quite a lot Charlisle/Bella. These are my favorites:
