Yep, because kissing a nice coworker who has helped you a lot and kissing the evil murderer who ruined your life is exactly the same. Don't compare them, a kiss with Molly would be weird because of Sherlock's asexuality, but a kiss with Moriarty is such an impossible stupid nosense, that's why it was treated as a joke.

But in context both scenes were ridiculous. Anderson's theory wasn't any more sensible - it had a goddamn magician hypnotising John ffs.

From the POV of the audience, of course the Sherlock/Moriarty scene is ridiculous and impossible - but no one in universe had any idea what had happened. With the knowledge available to them, her theory wasn't any stupider than Anderson's.

Then how come the idea of Sherlock/Irene isn't treated in canon and by fans as impossible nonsense? She's no less a criminal than Moriarty (albeit not insane) and was also trying to destroy him (get him arrested for treason.) While working with Moriarty no less.

But he still saves her life. And she pops up in his head in TSoT as a legitimate, not-a-joke ship-fanservice thing.
