A writer in my (fairly small) fandom just got a shoutout from the creators in an interview, and while it was relevant (the question was about the pairing this person writes), and while they're a good writer and I like their stuff and see no reason why they wouldn't deserve it or anything, I'm so fucking jealous and it's threatening to consume me

I highly doubt any creators for any of my fandoms would care about my fic even if they did know about it

fuck why can't I be interesting and talented

Oh god I would be so fucking embarrassed and consider deleting myself from the internet if that happened to me.

Don't envy what happens to others. Seriously, you'll only hurt yourself and won't accomplish a thing.

That being said, I hope this was in my fandom, because I know someone I'd love to see recognized like that, that would be all kinds of awesome!
