As someone British I can inform you, we have more than one channel! In fact we have hundreds! And yes, there's been same sex kisses before! Wow! The more you know!

Why didn't they include it in this episode, then?

(Anonymous) 2014-01-11 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Because Gatiss didn't put it in the episode. It's that simple. He wrote it that way, you don't have to like it.

Are you seriously saying that because of one TV show, that Britain as a nation are all homophobic? That's a sweeping generalisation and your original comment came across in that way. (you can't even call the BBC "no homo" Eastenders is on the same network).

How do you know he wrote it that way? The director decides how to shoot it.

Reaching for excuses isn't helping, to be honest. But do go after an openly Homosexual man for his 'queer baiting', you go heterosexual cisgendered slash fangirls!

no, we're queer.

And even gay sex scenes.

and don't forget, two of the top entertainment hosts in the country (graham norton and alan carr) are both blazingly out of the closet. i mean, seriously, accusing the UK of being homophobic, especially when you come from a country like the US, is just bizarre.
