Re: What do you think is the best episode of your favorite show(s)?

maaaan, I was always such a Murdock fangirl. I loved 'Bounty', because it didn't make him 'normal' but it showed his competence, in being able to work alone, and also how stable he can be when not around the rest of the Team indulging in mutual insane machinations.

Yes! Bounty is a great episode, I love a lot of them in that show tbh, even some of the season 5 ones that I didn't like as much. I just remember Steel the most because Murdock pretending to be a dog had me laughing so hard.

Murdock was always my favourite too. :3

Dwight Schultz was seriously genius in that role. And apparently ad-libbed a lot of his lines?? or just the delivery of them? I remember hearing somewhere that the studio was gonna fire him after the pilot cause they didn't like his performance, but the test audiences all (such good taste!) said he was their favourite thing, so he got to stay as-was lol.

I was so worried about the A-Team movie being any good...I had hope once the trailer with them FLYING A FUCKING TANK came out, but I still fretted about the guy playing Murdock until the actual film. He was pretty good though!

Oh man if that is true then that makes the things that Murdock does and says even better. Yeah I heard that he wasn't sure if he was getting called back, some higher ups thought Murdock was too goofy or something(pffffft), but he was really well received so he stayed. Which of course I am happy about.

I actually got into the TV show because of the film, I enjoyed myself so much watching it and how silly it was that I had to check out the original show(which I had only caught the occasional rerun of on TV). Murdock is best character for me in both versions and while I can certainly understand why fans of the show might not like the film(it is very different), I enjoy them equally on their own merits.

That's cool that you got into it because of the movie!

They were different, but I feel like it was one of the best movie 'reboots/relaunches/whatever' that I've ever seen, in that it adapted it to fit into a modern timeline but the FEEL of it--the exuberant OTTness ("Overkill is underrated", as their Hannibal says), the team play, the improvisation--was perfectly in line with the original series. And Hannibal was still the half-mad plan guy, and BA was the bruiser with the heart of gold, and Face was cocky but with a deep thread of vulnerability, and Murdock was equally crazy and crazy like a fox.

(I just remembered how much I loved the episode where they helped BA's mom...idk if it was a BEST ep, but definitely one of my favourites.)

I was not old enough to watch it when it first aired so I am something like 20 years late in my A-Team TV show appreciation. :P

Yeah, to me the film is very clearly made with a lot of love for the original show, even without knowing the original I felt that when I first saw it.

(That's because Mama B.A is fantastic and I love that episode for B.A and Murdock squabbling like children)
