New Jedi Order. It pretty much put my love of Star Wars into hibernation for years.

Yeah...there were bits and pieces of it that I loved (especially since I've always adored Tahiri so it was great to have some focus on her!) but on the whole it trashed what I love about Star Wars (namely the whole SPACE OPERA feel)

That's pretty much my exact feeling. I actually really like the Vong as a villain, and I have an irrational love of Jagged Fel, but the unrelenting darkness is pretty much the exact opposite of what I want and love about Star Wars.
