I think he likes to seem more knowledgable about things than he really is? So, when I was talking to him about Star Trek he lead me to believe he'd seen at least TNG, since that's what I was talking about, but two years later he told me he'd actually never seen any Star Trek. It's stupid to be dismayed about it, but now I'm the one feels dumb instead because I was taking about things I thought we both liked when, in reality, he had no idea. Makes me question he actually liked all the things he knew I liked and said he like to.
