Let me take a shower and then I will look thru my bookmarks. So third person is fine, gen or slash, non-woobie Sherlock (how do you define woobie?), not focuses on sex? I should have some.

Okay just going to post my favorite fics. I have a lot more that are more AU than these (they have AU elements but ultimately follow the main story). Just tell me when you want them or not.

Elephant in the Room Moriarty recaptures John and leaves him trapped in a world of hallucinations.

Shadows on the Wall John came back from Afghanistan psychic. Spoilers to The Great Game.

Equilbrium At Baskerville, John is infected by a virus that turns him into a genius. But when the infection progresses into neurodegeneration, it's a race against time to save himself. Flowers for Algernon fusion.

To Light Another's Path Teaching John to observe seems to be a losing battle, but when Sherlock falls ill and submits himself to John's care, will he realise that there is more to life than the science of deduction? Meanwhile, there is a murder to solve, and John must try and convince Sherlock not to sacrifice his own health for the sake of the case. Eventual John/Sherlock Hurt/Comfort case fic.

As a Matter of Fact John Watson did not believe in fortune tellers. The psychic he’d been dragged to in his younger days might’ve been right about ‘a serious injury occurring in a foreign land’ and in advising him to take a ‘greater interest in computers and IT’. But not once had she mentioned that in his forties he would fall head over heels in love with his male flatmate. A little warning would’ve been nice.

Sherlock Holmes only believed in empirical data and facts. He’d assumed those would be enough to persuade John Watson that his fake suicide had been necessary. But not once had it crossed his brilliant mind that the one thing that would ultimately convince John would have nothing to do with facts. A little warning would’ve changed absolutely nothing.

Electric Pink Hand Grenade If Sherlock's brain is a hard drive, then these attacks are an electro-magnetic pulse." Sherlock Holmes does not do anything by half, not even a migraine. It falls to John to witness one of the greatest minds he has ever known tear itself apart, and he must do his best to help Sherlock pick up the pieces.

Heritage Trust Series After the trip to Buckingham Palace, Sherlock finds out that maybe John's family background was different than he'd thought.

A series of AUs where ONE fact gets changed and then everything else changes in its wake--all while keeping as much canon-compliance as possible (army doctor, invalided home, alcoholic sister, crime-solving with Sherlock). All of them more or less take place between the Great Game and the ASIB Christmas party.

Wow, thank you. These sound very interesting and will keep me busy for a while. I would love to get the more AU fics, too; I feel like I'm going to need them after the season finale.
