Well, I was only ever a casual viewer at best, but if I were to compare someone to Sheldon in a very general sense/without elaborating on how or why, it would be with an attitude of "you're asshole a lot but most of that is just social ignorance rather than malice, and you are also incredibly intelligent and care for people you consider friends or family". And the actor on the right, I can't pinpoint which character it is exactly but the two characters I am pretty sure he plays are, as far as I know, pretty dumb but also very friendly, caring, and outgoing.

I wouldn't actually mind being called Sheldon*, because even with all his annoying habits and at times meanness. He never means to hurt anyone, he will help you if you need help and most of the times he hurts someone it isn't his intent.

Tho the "fandom nickname" my friends use on me is Mycroft (The BBC!Sherlock version), my family does see a likeness between Hermione and me and so on. I am cool with being associated with highly intelligent people, whom isn't always the best at social stuff, but never intentionally mean. Because I know it isn't meant to be mean.

*It is probably on the list of fandom characters people say remind them of me, but I can't remember if anyone ever calls me that.

then again I love TBBT and Sheldon, so I might be slightly biased...
