SJW on tumblr tend to focus on the bigger, widereaching things like songs and movies. But those things you experience (without knowing the specifics) are most likely sexism as well. Unfortunately it's...more an individual, direct bit of sexism and I imagine most SJW's have not worked the same job as you and wouldn't know about (your specific indirect sexism experiences). They wage war over what they know, over what is big and much as I find them a bit annoying, sometimes they hit on something correctly IMO.


tl;dr They're most likely both sexism, what you've experienced probably is sexism and just because SJW's don't think about it doesn't stop it being a bad experience for you.
