...and I keep swinging between "hiding under the covers and pretending it didn't happen" and "YAY I don't have to work at that soul-crushing waste of effort anymore". And then there's that whole "OMG bills, mortgage, food" reality that requires income (preferably on a steady basis).

I need a hug. :(

Focus on the "YAY" part and put all your effort in making it stay that way by searching like crazy for another job. It would be a shame if you were forced to miss a soul-crushing job due to the money.

My job is ending at the end if the month and I still haven't found anything to replace it. I'll probably have to move to take a new job in my field and I'm both excited because I think my life could use a shake-up and dreading it because of all the effort and uncertainty involved. Of course, I have to *find* a job first.
