Re: so apparently I'm about to ragequit Sherlock (SPOILERS S3E3 in the comments)

I have no idea what to make of Sherlock fandom this season. One person says the second episode was the best thing ever. Another one says it was utter tripe. Some people say it's gone totally downhill, other people say it's just the same as it ever was and everyone just has inflated expectations. Even the official critics have what feel like completely incompatible readings.

Damnit, this contradictory bullshit is what sucked me into watching the show in the first place, and what sucked me into watching the rest of season 2 even though I swore Sherlock off after A Scandal in Belgravia, and it's probably going to do the same with season 3 as well even though I swore I wouldn't watch it.
