Good god, not at all in this case. They were the two dorkiest, sexiest, snarkiest characters ever. And John Sheppard was my absolute specimen of physical perfection, long, lean, pointy ears and face almost anime come to life. At that point anyway. Later on, Jason (loosing the dreads) becomes more handsome and Joe got older looking but when I first saw John Sheppard, I saw my fantasies come to life. Also, I never knew until the show was over that Jason wasn't considered white. McKay and Sheppard just had everything I love in a slash pairing, everything.
