She handled in a way that suited her and given her circumstances it was honestly probably the best outcome (tragic ending to that arc notwithstanding).

I have a lot of complaints about GRRM, and I think he and his writing may have some issues with women, but he does not write women as objects. He writes them being treated like objects, but he also writes them with their own viewpoints, desires, perspectives, aspirations, plans, etc.

I really still don't get why a female character is automatically awful if she was raped. That might be bad writing but not necessarily bad characterization...characterization has more to do with how you react to things than what your situation is. And you can drop the condescension, thanks. I get that you have really, REALLY strong feelings about this, no need to take it out on me.
