It's not so much that OP doesn't enjoy romance in literature, or thinks romance is pointless in a post-apocalyptic world where mere survival is so precarious; it's that OP apparently detests romance to the point of thinking that it's stupid and pointless and a waste of time in principle and under all circumstances. I mean, not wanting a romance in your own life is one thing. Thinking that anyone who values romance in their life is wrong and stupid and impossible to understand or relate to--that's quite another.

I... don't recall the OP saying that? you might wanna chill.

Pssst, there is this thing called implication, where something can be conveyed without stating it in so many words? If you say that an activity is pointless and a waste of time, you don't need to say outright that the people involved in it are stupid and wrong. You've implied it. That's how these things work.

You seem to be projecting an awful lot. They find it stupid in a story because it's something they don't want to read about. They've only talked about fictional characters so far.

Romance IS often shoehorned and written in a very sloppy way so as to make it take over an unnecessary large part of otherwise interesting plots, so I can't blame OP.

You're reading too much and making shit up. OP hasn't said anything like that, they just don't want to waste time with something they don't like which is everywhere. Shocking isn't it.

Yeah, but there's no indication in either the secret or in their responses in this thread that they think other people's real-world romances are pointless - just that they're not interested personally and they dislike reading about it.

No implication, but plenty of over-defensive precious anons here.
