I agree with you on the plotlines though. OMG. No Star Trek happy endings here. The Square Triangle (if I've got the title correct - the one where the wife is planning on shooting her husband) was one that pretty well horrified me. I kept on thinking, "But they're the good guys!"

And then the FALLOUT from it over the rest of the series. The show was really from the 'global security means making horrible choices' end of Cold War television.
It's such a strange show to watch now. On the one hand, hilarious 70s costuming. On the other hand, horrifying 70s cynicism.
It's fantastic, though. I love it.
