Agh. Double bruising D:
I wish more people would throw gravel around during these seasons, if only to somewhat prevent complete slippage. My campus is ridiculous atm as its sidewalks are basically rinks.

Damn I wish I can summon horses to randomly drop on people. >:U

Hopefully living horses. I don't want the glow cloud to be real.

Dude, we had an ice storm that took out power, followed by a deep freeze followed by freezing rain followed by another deep freeze or something like that. The last two days were five degrees above zero, amazingly enough, but the fuckton of snow and ice everywhere kept the sun from melting away the inches thick ice in some places.

When the snow plows came, they could not do anything about removing the ice but they did smooth it out to be more slippery. There are some sections of ice with lots of small bits of tree branches and twigs embedded in them from the storms. You'd think they'd add some traction right? But they were sunken into the ice, leaving the rest of the surface smooth and hella slippery. I don't think anything other than an entire fresh bed of gravel could have helped. >:(

People a smooth landing surface does not make. That's cruelty to horses you monster. Don't you have any feelings for them at all? What glow cloud? I didn't notice any?

Oh yeah. I keep forgetting you folk are still recovering from that awful mess. And now I'm imagining how futile it'd look for some sap to walk around with a bucket of gravel to toss by hand. I will feel bad for laughing eventually. I wonder if things like ice cleats or those re-attachable ones would puncture the ice, given how thick it's gotten.

Don't judge the limits of my empathy for glue sources. I simply figured a stock of horse carcass is just plain suspicious looking. WTNV reference. Sentient and psychic glow cloud drops dead animals on everyone.

No idea if ice cleats would have helped but I wanted them earlier tonight.

Why should I take away a source of meat and glue? Besides, who said I'd be using carcasses even? ;) I should have guessed it was a WTNV ref. I'm too old to keep up with all the newfangled fandoms you kids are getting into these days!

Clearly what you need is ice climbing gear, except you'll be flat on your stomach, and pulling yourself forward in a stabbing crawl.

Ew, are you suggesting falling rocking horses? I mean, at least I will have another chance for horse burger again, but inanimate objects? Why even the horse shape \8|/ way to ascend to ultra fogey there. Do you need that dial radio replaced anytime soon ♥

Falling horse mannequins is the way to go. It's the legs. The legs appeal to me. >:O Heh. The dial radio? No, but the hand-crank phone (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:ChampaignCountyHistoricalMuseum_20080301_4271.jpg) can use some upgrades. ;)
