I bet I would have a hard time with it anyway.5. ...I just don't see the hype about being a BNF. I do tons of stuff for my main fandom, but it's cause I love the series to death (and it's highly under-appreciated), not cause I want my own fandom or something
...dear god, that'd be kind of scary, actually.10. I've been curious about the pairing for awhile now, but I still don't quite ship it yet. I'd have to find some good fanfiction or something like that to convince me.
23. Juliet wears the pants in that relationship. Romeo gets points for being adorable, though. Even if he's kind of wimpy.

25. I am so in agreement with you that it's not even funny. Sure, sometimes effects can add something to a video when used in moderation. Lately there's been such a "fad" with dosing AMVs down with so many effects and overlays that I can't even stand to watch them. I still stick with my trusty
and constantly crashingWindows Movie Maker, and unless I'm doing something for comedic purposes or just for fun, I'm a total nut about making the AMVs showcase emotion and/or story (whether the story follows the series, a specific theme, or even AU and such). People don't realize that it actually takes a heck of a lot of effort and feeling to put AMVs together like that even if they're not exploding with special effects. ...So, just to say that you're not alone. 25. I *mostly* agree. the only trend listed as not important in that secret that I DO like is not using the same clip for too long. I kinda feel like it isn't quite 'edited' if the same clip is used for a long time straight through XD;; *picky*

10. I can sort of see her with Mori, maybe. They could have a quiet kind of relationship. ...I don't see her with Honey at all, though. (Didn't even cross my mind. o_O;)
25. Well, yeah. I don't much care for people that just take whole scenes and stick them in to take up time. I also like to switch scenes to match with the lyrics and such too. So that's not picky. I meant more in a general way.

Yeah, actually, I thought of that because you told ME you were like her. XDDDD5. XD I'm the same way, though! And *I* can't do all the things that you do for the fandom! I mean...everyone on the Tutu group knows who you are!
10. Ehh...I don't know why, but I'm not crazy about her with Mori. And yeah, I've never even seen anyone ship Honey/Haruhi. There must be SOMEONE out there that does, but I've never seen it.

25. Hey, Movie Maker hasn't proven me wrong yet, and even with the new spiffy version
which still hates me, fancy thatthe only effects I use a lot are "fade white" and "fade black." The sheer number of effects available is kind of intimidating, and if you haven't planned how to use them effectively, then I can see how there could be effect overload.And I can't watch those videos either. It's like three point five minutes of pure motion sickness on a screen.

I shipped her with Doumeki from XXXHolic for awhile on Poly, cause the way they were building that relationship was just... I don't know. Appealing. XD; But Rosette forgot him now, so that's it for that ship. :/And Rosette/Laharl? That made me LOL. I can already see the clashand many Sacreds and Gospels going off, but it's interaction like that which tends to draw me in, because it's interesting.Woooo, lookit me ramble.25. I don't think I even have the new spiffy version. XD; But yeah, those are the exact two effects I tend to use, too. Transitions for fading to/from black/white are my main effect tools (though I'll use the sepia tone if I'm doing a story-ish AMV with flashbacks and things). I see a lot of random effects lately and masking that people don't even know how to do right. It ends up looking overdone and quite frankly, completely distracting from the video flow and music.

I used to ship an AU version of her with an AU!Ishida Yamato from Digimon in an RP I was at, but it was that same RP that got all that wank a few days ago and I dropped because it was no longer fun. So much for that one, huh?Actually, Rosette/Laharl is...interesting. XD; It happens in the crack continuity of one of the RPs I'm in, and there's really no romance involved - in fact, Rosette seems to have...adopted him. There's really no other word for it. She treats him like somewhat between another little brother and a friend, and Laharl can't figure out if she's mothering him or being a big sister or a friend or what. It's all damn confusing on both of their parts and Laharl-mun and I both love it to death. (Never mind that the first time they met, Rosette did try to shoot him. And they did fight like cats and dogs for a long while after that. And now that they actually care about each other, they still fight. With these two, what else could you really expect? XD;)

And there's even a CC crew on Poly. Joshua has been there for a loooong time. And there's Fiore, Rosette, and Chrno. ...There used to be an Aion, Shader, Azmaria, and Satella. But they were dropped at some point.Oh yeah, I have had a few people ask if it was connected to the CC and CT video games before. XD; ...Hmm, that's true. XD Strangely enough, I could almost picture that. And it sounds like a healthy mix of cute/weird from what you've said. (Ahahaha. XDDD But that makes it all the more fun! 25. Maybe it is, then. XD; I didn't actually start making AMVs until a little over a year ago. I'd always been curious and even got to forming AMVs in my head, but I was always worried that it looked like something I just wouldn't be able to do. ...I'm really glad I gave it a try. XD; Despite how incredibly time-consuming it is, it's hella addictive and fun. ...Hey, even without effects at all, I'm sure great AMVs can and have been made, so that doesn't surprise me.
They're definitely hard to find, though.Random effects turn me away like nothing else. And quite a few AMV-makers in my main fandom abuse them like heck. (And to this day, it boggles me how they get tons of praising comments for that kind of thing. Do rapid flashes, masks, and color effects really impress so many?) ...I'm always looking for goodand not overloaded with excessive effectsAMVs to watch, though. What's your YouTube username?LOL! XD I try to content myself with shielding my eyes if I can't turn it off quickly enough. But sometimes the flashing lights still seep through. Amazing that people don't get seizures from watching some of them.

DEAR GOD I AM SO JEALOUS OF YOU. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET MY FRIEND TO BRING JOSHUA TO PAIXAO FOR MONTHS. JEAAAAAAALOUS ;;;Yeah, people hear the first word and go THEY MADE A THIRD GAME? WHAR? Um, no, not exactly, plz to be paying attention to what I am saying, thanks... And dear God, the ending of the anime was the worst I've ever seen for any story I've ever read/watched/played/even vaguely heard of. (Which is to say, I'm partial to the manga too. XD)I still have links to the logs if you want them, though the AU I put Rosette through is pretty painful and I honestly don't think I ever did her justice. And I can so see Rosette and Fakir, especially fighting. Fakir is sulky!angry, and Rosette is BLOODY LOUD!angry. Fun all around. XD; Though I do have to ask - what're your thoughts on Rosette and Ed from FMA? Because we've done that before too, and it turned out quite well. :oIt took quite a few so-late-it's-early nights (four and seven a.m. respectively with time zone difference), but it came along quite well. XD Would you believe there's also a good amount of angst in there as well? Because we play this out in an AIM chat, so there are quite a few other characters present...Sylar has tried to take Laharl's powers by force, and Luxord has developed a very dangerous affinity for Rosette (the man has an obsession with time, draw your own conclusions).
I have to wonder if the inclusion of angst makes it well-rounded or traumatizing.And can I quote you on that? Because it's brilliant. XD25. Well, how new's your computer and what OS do you use? Because it sure does sound like the new one. And the AMV-in-the-head thing is how I started too, though my software and source material are limited, so it makes things...interesting. XD; You're absolutely right, though, it really is a ton of fun. I need to finish that one I've got sitting on my hard drive half-finished.
It's only been a year...I've got a minute of song left to do and that's it...cursed lack of work ethic. :/There are quite a few good AMVs out there that use few if any effects. There are two multifandom ones that are excellent: Jihaku uses only a few effects and mostly makes use of fast pacing and clips from dozens of different shows, and Tearstained Hearts tells touching stories from...four, I think it was...different shows. I'm pretty sure they're both on AMV.org. Definitely worth a look.
Some of those AMVs look like the creators spent the entire time going " ooh, what does this button do?" and setting it to a random song. I don't necessarily want things cohesive - at this point, I'd settle for something that won't burn my eyes out.
