part of me has no desire to see the movies because a) well, the first one sucked, but mostly b) i have this version of Thranduil in my head that i love and i am not about to have the movie fuck with it. granted it is 96% based on some really amazing fics i have read in the past but WHATEVER.

ON THE OTHER HAND i so love that fanon idea that went around about him being blind in both eyes and whatnot. but i'm so over the "party elf" "queen Thranduil" joke stuff. sorry OP this is not really related at all but suddenly i find myself rambling lol.
