I don't think you'll get a lot of wank here, because most of those on this site and in fandom in general probably are doing similar things where they work. If they work at all. Most highly driven, successful people aren't spending hours posting anonymously on fandom secret pages.

Speak for yourself, nonny; I certainly don't browse FS at work. I may read more newspapers than I should, but I at least have a semi-legit reason for doing so.

People who aren't in fandom spend a lot of time during their work hours on facebook or solitaire or youtube or etc. And even those "most highly driven" take breaks every now and then and do the same thing.

I don't. I never go on the net at work, I'm too busy. And I'm a public sector worker. In the UK, for those about to point at the time.
