Would you be able to take their questions about insecurities and try to turn it around into helpful advice? If you get a question about insecurity about your appearance, you can say something like, "I find it helps to focus on *this* instead, and *this* is what I did to stop worrying about it so much."

Sometimes people just want empathy (in which case the "I have no insecurities!" isn't going to help), but sometimes they're looking for guidance and a way out. If you can phrase it right, you can hit both the "I know how you feel" and "here's how I handle it".

This is what I've been doing thus far. I'm just worried that soon I won't be able to do this or they'll ask me questions/talk to me in such a way as to make talking directly about my own experiences unavoidable.
