Let's see...One of the "Leading Citizens" in my city [waaaay back when it had been recently founded] was a guy that liked to collect humans skulls. He also liked to drink, and had a fondness for combining the two hobbies...but he wasn't overly careful as far as checking to make sure the skull[s] were completely cleaned out before putting the alcohol *in*. Best part? His name was "Dr. Watson".

We also had a serial killer who was called the Candy Man, because his family ran a candy factory for most of his life/serial killer career.

Annnd...something a little less dark. We have a totally awesome parade called The Art Car parade that was founded in the 80's, and always has some amazing art cars in it.
