Eh, might be a difference of usage in different places. Urban Dictionary kind of sort of backs this usage up.

I must be misunderstanding the secret then, since the urban dictionary posts I can see back up what I thought gay panic was (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gay_panic_defense). It seemed to me like the secret was talking about women who are sad that he'll never be attracted to them, which is really mild in comparison.
