That is a thing actually. Some people love to hate watch stuff. I just...can't find the energy to watch an hour long show every week of something I hate.

Exactly. The hate makes them feel superior and smart. Because they know what's wrong! They're so enlightened in their rage!

And it's one thing to watch something that you like, but some aspects you hate, and then you think about how it could be better, or maybe even go and make it better in fanworks. It's another thing to watch JUST FOR THE HATE because knowing enough to hate it gives you this sense of superiority.
